Valentine’s Day Sweets for One

Since I’ll be celebrating the holiday without my Mr. I thought I still deserved a little somthing for me, myself, and I. Here’s a quick and fun idea for your Valentine’s Day dessert. I simply made brownies from the box in my flower Demarle Flexipan. Just cut the flower into 4 pieces and you get 4 hearts. Easy as that! To add a little something extra, I just made a heart out of cardboard, and sprinkled a little powdered sugar on top to make a heart outline.

I’m planning to spend my Valentine’s evening with a good glass of champagne, Netflix, and the pup by my side. Hope you have a more eventful night than me!

We are moving to…

San Diego! The Mr. got our 2nd choice on our dream list of where we’d like to be stationed next. Not too bad! Having only visited once myself, I’m more than ready to explore the city and the surrounding areas. I can’t wait to see what will come in the next year. So many exciting things are happening with my career. I’ll share more about that later. In the meantime, here’s a glimpse of what I envision San Diego to be like and some things I plan to make a reality. If you like what you see, check out my Pinterest where I have a ton more ideas to share.

My two part long distance love blog post is now live on the Bustled Blog! I offer some great ideas for getting creative with your other half across the miles in Part one. In the second part I share my own digital valentine for my Mr. who is deployed yet again for our fourth Valentine’s Day apart from each other. Here’s some more pictures from the shoot, enjoy!

PS Kirsten from KNW Photography is so sweet and talented! If you’re in the Bay Area looking for family portraits, engagement photos, or anything else you’d like to capture be sure to give her a jingle. You won’t be sorry!
